Recently, I have noticed I have purchased a lot of Thailand related objects.
This fact is not necessarily blog worthy, but it’s been a slow news week for me.
Bear with me, here goes.
I recently ordered this custom shirt from Etsy (only $25). The lady who makes it lives in Thailand. She was great to work with.
I love this dramatic feminine top. Can’t wait to take it on our beach trip in May.
Here is the link for more info. Brown cotton shirt
I feel like I buy this Thai sweet chili sauce by the truck load.
The sauce sells at most standard grocery stores for $3-5.
After I typed that I thought, “What is the world is a “standard grocery” store.”
But you know what I mean.
The great thing is our Trader Joe’s sells it for $1.29.
We can afford for my husband and step sons to through two bottles at a time at that price!
We use it mostly for our all time favorite pizza, Thai Chicken Pizza.
Side note: I made this pizza for my sister and brother-in-law last year. My sister told me the other day that my brother-in-law still requests it for dinner weekly. It’s great stuff!!
And what I love about this pizza is if you use whole wheat crust and load it up with veggies it’s pretty good for you.
Last but not least, I really want to learn how to make good Pad Thai.
We order occasionally at a noodle bar in Asheville, Doc Cheys; but I really want to learn to make it myself.
Because I am too chicken to just try out any ol recipe, I am just going to ease into it.
I am usually not a mix kinda girl, but in great desperation (exaggeration) I picked up this mix ($1.50) from World Market the other day.
We will see how it goes.
It can’t be that hard right?
What international or “Americanized international” dishes have you tried?
