At my sister-in-law Holly’s suggestion (thanks, Holly), we are thinking of stenciling the Great Wall that I blogged about on Monday.
My husband is actually on board with this idea which surprised me, but now I can’t decide which direction I want to go with it.
Regardless of the pattern we choose, I am going to keep the colors pretty neutral.
Probably a cloudy white and grey or navy.
You can check out all the options on Cutting Edge Stencils.
What do you think?
NAGOYA ALLOVER STENCIL this one if you go for gray…..maybe do the white in a matte and the gray in a semi-gloss? for contrast?
CASCADE ALLOVER STENCIL PATTERN this is pretty too.
Seriously let me know how this goes……I would love to to this in my hallway/foyer because i can’t afford the wallpaper but it is alot of space :) And eventually I would love to run pictures up the stairway like in old farmhouses.
I will!
I’m partial to the trees stencil. I think it will always be in style. The “chain link” (my description) stencil is very trendy pattern right
now. I see it in fabrics, rugs, etc. I think it’s overdone.
Sue, I totally agree. The tree stencil is my husband’s favorite too. Thanks for your opinion!
I like the tree stencil too! It will look good on the tall wall – keeps drawing the eye upward. Plus, if the hubby likes it, that’s half the battle right there! :)
Thanks:) And yes you are right….I just could not convince him to do stripes…:)
Agree with the trees. Love that!
Looks like there is a “tree trend” doing on here :)
I love the tree stencil! I am going to be doing a gloss stencil over a matte or eggshell wall in the same colors. Good luck with your project!!
Thanks Kim. I bet that gloss will look great and swanky! :)
