Recipe Review: Sour Cream Pecan Pound Cake

Someone recently asked me if I had a few great pound cake recipes.

I don’t.

I have a great peach pound cake recipe.

But I lack any others.

Until I made this cake this weekend.

The writer of the recipe (say that five times fast) sugguests substituting 1 cup of flour with 1 cup of ground pecans.

I literally died after trying it.

Well not literally but it was good.

I served it with fresh strawberries and a simple strawberry icing (rather than the orange one suggested).

The flavors reminded me a little bit of that old southern strawberry pretzel salad recipe.

Try it!

 You won’t be disappointed.

And if you want to get crazy add some mini chocolate chips into the batter. YUM!
