A Holiday Giveaway: The Pioneer Woman’s Holiday Cookbook

My husband surprised me last weekend with the new Pioneer Woman’s holiday cookbook.

(I am on to his ways of these “gift” cookbooks; I just think he wants me to cook for him:)

I have already read it cover to cover, and I know it’s her best book yet.

It’s a year of recipes for every holiday with time schedules to help you with planning each meal. In my opinion is takes all the stress out of hosting a meal for a crowd.

I roasted a turkey breast last week and whipped up a version of her leftover Thanksgiving turkey panini. It was delish!

And I am excited to try the watermelon pico de gallo from the Cinco De Mayo recipes.

And while some of the recipes are not “new,” I love how the book is formatted and organized. I will be using it A LOT. I can tell already.

Okay, all you have to do is tell me your favorite holiday in the comment section below and you are entered to win one of the books.

If you find it in the goodness of your heart to share the giveaway on Facebook that would be lovely too but not required.

One entry per day. The winner will be picked Monday morning, Nov 11 (aka my sister Annie’s birthday, and of course Veteran’s Day).

Two winners will be picked by random.org.

Good luck!

PS. I am not compensated for these giveaways. I just like spreading the love of cooking.

PSS. I will even ship this internationally for my non-US readers (spammers I am not taking about you) :).

Giveaway has ended.

  1. I love everything about Christmas: the food, the music, the decorations but most if all, the Reason for Christmas!

  2. Easter, because my 23, 20 and 17 year olds still hunt Easter eggs. More for the competition than anything and the we go to church to celebrate!

  3. I love Thanksgiving. It is all about family and what we are thankful for on that day. We don’t go out and do any Christmas shopping. It is just about being together and enjoying our God given blessings of each other.

  4. Christmas….totally and completely. Every single part of it….family, food, presents, giving, carols, Christmas movies, cozy jammies and most importantly, glorifying Him!

  5. Ohh for sure Christmas love everything about it!! Love all holidays in the sense of family and food are all around!

  6. Both Christmas and Thanksgiving…. love all the family and cooking and memories that go along with both holidays!

  7. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I live away from my family and only see them a few times a year. This is the one time of the year that my husband children and myself get together with brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, and cousins along with my dad. We really get to enjoy one another on these trips. Especially because it’s always a long weekend. Thanks for the chance!

  8. Thanksgiving and Christmas, because I cook and bake from November (apple and pumpkin season) through NY (cookies, candy, desserts and dinners) . I do it for my fabulous husband and my children when they can visit.

    1. Rene, I just now read your bio. My oldest son and his fiancΓ© live in Greenville, SC. My son is a executive chef there. My youngest manages a restaurant. Food runs in the family!

  9. This year is Thanksgiving since Ryan and I will be able to come to my home in SC this year to see family…a turkey my dad is cooking so we will celebrate that evening.

  10. Oddly enough my favorite holiday is Halloween. It was such a community event, since I grew up in the country, so no trick-or-treating door to door. I also love it b/c it kicks off the holiday season.

  11. I love all the holidays! I love everything about Thanksgiving and Christmas! And I love, love, love the reason for Easter!

  12. I llove Thanksgiving for all the food, baking, and family and the 4th of July because it is also my bithday and nealy everyone has the day off and can help celebrate. :)

  13. We have several birthday/holidays in our family. Annie was born on Verterans’ Day. Rene’s birthday often lands on Thanksgiving Day. Nancee’s birthday is Pearl Harbor Day.
I enjoy all the major holidays, but the Fourth of July can be the most relaxed for entertaining. Simple food. Simple decorations. Low expectations.:)

  14. So Megan told me about this yesterday and I wrote a comment, but I just realized it must not have posted–oops! I had said I like Christmas because I enjoy celebrating Jesus’ birthday and I enjoy having my husband home more!

  15. Christmas is my favorite to celebrate with my family! Also, we create holidays to celebrate when our son gets to come home from serving in the Marine Corps.

  16. We love Christmas at our house – which is evidenced by the fact that we are the only house on our street with lights already on the outside! Thanks for a great giveaway!
