There are a certain kind of people that faithfully check the weather.
What type of person does this?
I don’t know, but I am one of them.
As of Friday, this is the weather prediction for our week.
Pleasant and nice until it takes a drastic turn on Wednesday making all southerns hide in our beds. Or making us at least put socks on.
And such is our weather for fall and winter. Some days you need a parka and others you wear your trusty flip flops.
And some days you switch mid-day from flip flops to a parka.
So I have mentioned a few times on the blog facebook page that I am ramping up for the holiday season a little early this year.
No, I have not put up my tree or any such nonsense:)
But I have 90% of our Christmas presents purchased and wrapped.
(imagine a photo of our guest bed covered with Christmas presents, I forgot to take the photo)
All our Christmas cards are stamped and addressed.
And why am I in such a mood of festivity?
Well I am actually not.
I have just decided that during my five days off during the holidays (plus weekends, of course), I am going to TRIUMPH over our kitchen cabinets.
triumph = paint them
And in order to do that, I needed to have all my other holiday tasks complete.
Kitchen project details coming later this week.
Okay, for what food I made this weekend.
I make it with half the cheese, and milk instead of cream or half and half. Just between you and me, I made a ton of this so I can eat it all week for lunch:)
Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
All the boys in our house on the weekend love this soup, I made it with leftover turkey breast
Cooks’ Illustrated Boneless Buffalo Chicken and Skinny Mac and Cheese(minus the blue cheese)
My husband took one bite of the chicken and said, “Whoa that’s good.” I will be sharing my version of their recipe soon.
Happy Veteran’s Day and Happy Birthday to my sister Annie!
