The last two weeks can only be described as busy.
And all the tired and busyness collided for me on Friday with a full on migraine while I was at work.
By 3:30 my vision was blurry from the pain.
I just needed to lie down.
But it was not 5pm yet so I kept plugging along b/c I am a trooper aka I don’t know when to call it quits.
And while afternoon migraines used to be a weekly occurrence for me, I had forgotten how truly bad they are.
But for the good news, we finished the kid bathroom makeover, and I could not be more pleased by it.
Joe overcame his trepidation towards plumbing and really outdid himself.
I am so proud.
He can really do anything he sets his mind too.
And I have decided that the key to completing home improvement projects is to have deadlines.
Joe’s dad and his wife from MI were staying with us this weekend so we pushed through on Wednesday and Thursday to get the whole thing finished before they arrived!
Bathroom final reveal coming later this week.
In other news, I have been hunting for a new refrigerator for about a year.
I wanted a high quality product with good reviews at an incredible price.
That’s not a lot to ask, right?
Well while running an errand for work last week, we stumbled upon an “open box” clearance sale of appliances at Best Buy.
I saw the “black beauty” from afar, but thought better of it to buy it on the spot.
I thought about it for a few days, confirmed the measurements, and then after my husband threatening to spank me if I did not go get it (totally kidding, sort of:), I purchased it on Friday at 55% off.
So sometime this week we will be banishing our tiny old refrigerator to the garage, and black beauty will come take up residence in our home.
And now I will finally be able to make larger grocery trips because I will have room to store extra items.
I am hoping it makes life a little easier. Now if someone would just volunteer to grocery shop for me I would be golden.
