Retail Therapy- dreaming of cooler weather

My sister needed to get out of the house last night so we went out for sushi and did a little window shopping.

I breezed into Sears for some odd reason and spotted this Lands End coat. (Did you know that Sears has a Lands End store inside it?)

I literally almost bought it on the spot (except that I blew all my spending $ this weekend buying a rug).

It is so gorgeous in person! So much detail.

I have purchased many Lands End coats over the years and I love them! And I appreciate their petite sizing.

I am  going to keep an eye out for some good coupon codes in the next few weeks because I may just “need” this.

New outfit for spring on the cheap

I got notice earlier this week that I will get my bonus check  this Friday. The my first thought was “Well most of it will go towards savings but I will buy an inexpensive spring outfit with part of it.” Here is what I settled on after shopping online during my lunch break on Tuesday.

Tip: I almost always buy my clothes off season. I usually stock up in the fall on clearance summer clothes and in the spring I stock up on clearance winter clothes. One of my favorite finds this fall was an Ann Taylor cotton tank blouse for $3.97. And last week I found black suede boots in Gaffney, originally $175. I paid $34!
